Hunger Games
To the Editor: It is satisfying to read amongst this newspaper's letters to the editor the news that our Congressman Glenn "GT" Thompson has deigned to leave Capitol City to visit us proles in District Five. But I wonder: during GT's many open Q&A events, has no-one dared to ask his honor to provide an on-the-record comment on the Denny Hastert scandal? How does GT explain how a former teacher and congressman from Yorkville Illinois amassed millions without being on the Clinton Foundation staff? While our Congress is in recess, GT is likely hawking President Obama and the US Chamber of Commerce's legislative priorities: the Trans- Pacific trade agreement, the Export-Import Bank, and the importation of more workers to depress wages. GT's much ballyhood bipartisanship is terrible for the American people. What will be the return on investment for GT and his staff? Is there no citizen patriot from Cameron to Venango, from Bradford to Titusville who will challenge GT in next year's Republican primary? Our nation's children and grandchildren desperately need us to unseat our bipartisan Beltway kleptocracy. John Groenveld State College
