• "The hit piece on Pedro Gonzalez is interesting. He was never a player in the alt-right scene, other than as a fringe clout chaser. He tried to attach himself to the Fuentes thing but he never got very far. In other words, four years when he was posting his "vile hate" in a group chat, no one had any reason to care about him. As I always the case with these things, the bit that matters is ignored in favor of the salacious bits. The bit that matters is who leaked these three and four year old chat logs? That is a long time to keep such things. What sort of person keeps chat logs for years? This then leads to the second question. What is the relationship of that person to Breitbart? That would be where I would start looking for the source. Maybe a former employee who used to circulate in the online alt-right community? Maybe someone who likes hanging around young males. Of course, Matt Boyle is a moron who just does what he is told, so most likely the person who got these logs was not him, but one of his bosses. The source would have to have had prior experience with that person, maybe as a former employee. The sort of person who likes to curate embarrassing information about people who he befriends is a member of a small club. The club gets smaller when you further restrict it to people with access to Breitbart editors. Throw in the anti-DeSantis angle and the club gets smaller. It seems to me that it should be easy to narrow the list of suspects. That is a much more valuable project than making the same old tired complaints that everyone makes when these things happen. Knowing the leaker and then using him as a tool to train young people to be careful online is a valuable use of time."
